There's Butterfly Dreams, Too!
A few weeks ago I mentioned our sleep problems with John Brady. Well, there has been no change. I've researched it, read a few books, implemented some new routines, sprinkled pixie dust, but have not been successful. I have even caught myself thinking, why should I be concerned with it now? After 7 years without sleep, why should anything change. You know, they say your taste buds change every 7 years, so maybe, just maybe there is hope! Here's a few pictures of John Brady sleeping where he sleeps best. About two nights ago, John Brady was having a dream and talking in his sleep. At first I thought he was scared and having a bad dream. John Brady with his eyes closed tight pointed into the air and said, "Mommy! It's a bur-fly (butterfly)!" I thought how sweet! And I would have missed that if he hadn't been sleeping next to me! I guess if there's butterfly kisses, there's also butterfly dreams!

Meet Truly Lucky
A new puppy for Valentine's Day! Is there anything sweeter than that? We are probably crazy, especially since we just added 3 rabbits to the household. Actually, the rabbits will be going to mom's "farm" after Easter. So one cat and one dog is not too bad. This is Truly Lucky, our new beagle mix puppy I adopted from the animal shelter. She is 8 weeks old and a total sweetheart! Ok, you are probably wondering about the name. I kind of liked the name "True", and Brady thought of "Lucky". He said she was a very lucky dog to be here at our house! Hee, hee! I said the name should be "True" because "It's really true, that I persuaded Brady to get a puppy!" Emma threw in "Samantha" and "Megan". John Brady called her "Molly" (that was our trust fund dog). Abby Claire said, "Oh, I know, we can call her Curly Top!" Not sure where in the world that came from. So her official name is Truly Lucky; we will call her Lucky.

Run Girls Run
Participating in the Mercedes Kids Marathon is becoming a tradition for us. Emma and I ran last year and had such a good time we decided to do it again. This year Emma ran it all by herself and Brady ran with Abby. Emma and Abby trained at Huntington Elementary with Mrs. Fanning (Ab's teacher). We are all so pround of Emma and Abby!
