One Last Beach Trip

We will be leaving tonight for our last family beach trip. We are going to Panama City Beach with my parents and plan to have loads of fun!!! Brady rented a pontoon boat for us and we are riding out to Shell Island for the afternoon. Along the way, we should be able to visit with the dolphins and then of course, look for some great seashells and just hang out on Shell Island for a while. I hope to get some great shots and post them ASAP!

Miley Cyrus $ Hannah Montana Best of Both Worlds Concert in 3D

Saturday evening we sat down to watch the Miley Cyrus concert on Disney with our 3D glasses MeMe got for us. The kids were soooo excited! The girls LOVE Hannah Montana and are now wanting to attend a concert.

3D ready!!Daddy too!
The girls wact intently.
Aren't Abby's moves super cute?

Another Visit With Nanny and PaPa

Mom and Dad kept Emma and Abby last Friday. After work John Brady and I went to mom and dad's to visit and get the "guls" as John Brady says. We spent most of the evening on their patio, watching the rain and just enjoying the end of a summer day. My mom and dad live on Hwy 43, which is frequented by eighteen wheelers. So there my girls were, sitting in their lawn chairs in mom and dad's yard, waiting on the "big trucks". When the girls finally got a driver to blow his horn, there was a squeal and a high five!! After dinner, it was time for Dad to take the kids "snipe hunting". All the kids grabbed flash lights and Dad grabbed a Wal-Mart bag. Dad instructed the kids that one had to shine the light, one hold the bag, and the other to run the snipe in the bag. All three kids and Dad eagerly headed outside. Since they couldn't find any snipes, they started hunting armadillos. When I went outside I could hear John Brady calling the armadillos! John Brady, walking next to PaPa, was wearing a head light and calling out, "Armadilloooooos!!" So the night ended without any snipes nor armadillos, but the memories were tucked away in that special place that only a granparent and a grandchild share.

A Letter from Emma

Here is a cute little letter I found just a few days ago and just had to post. Brady really got a kick out of this.

The Note

I have been carrying this note around in my purse since May and thought I would share it. While in church, Abby wasn't too happy with the way Emma was treating her so Abby wrote this letter to her. A little backgound info: Abby loves to suck the honeysuckles that grow next to our backyard fence; Emma doesn't.

There's nothing like a sisterly threat! Wouldn't you be frightened if you were Emma? Too funny!

It wasn't the cute spotted little pups that caught his eye

Since I could not take a picture of what I am about to tell, I used this funny photo. While John Brady was at my mom's, he was playing with a stick and per my mom it "looked" like he was imitating someone smoking. Mom made a mental note and then ignored him. Mom said the very next day John Brady handed her a long stick and wanted her to break it to make it shorter. She broke it and handed it back to him only to be asked to make it even shorter. So mom did. Then John Brady took the stick and put it to his mouth like he was smoking!! Mom was no longer in doubt, she was confident! Well, as you have probably guessed by now, my mom was trying her darndest to figure out who John Brady has seen smoking! And, no, we do not smoke!! As all sorts of ideas were spinning through my mom's head, John Brady said, "I'm Cawella!" Do you all know who he is referring to? Ever watched 101 Dalmations? Yep, Cruella Da Ville!!! At least I can blame Disney for that one, but I definitely lay the blame on PaPa for John Brady carrying around a "spit cup"!!!

Waiting On The Rain

Last week I caught my kiddos outside with their umbrellas and had to capture the moment. It was too cute. It was one of those evenings where it looked as if a downpour was sure to happen. It looked, sounded, and even smelled of rain, but the rain never came. You know, one of those evenings. So my sweet peeps patiently waited with their umbrellas.

Discrimination!!

While we were on vacation, Lucky was at the "doggie hotel" per our children, but in reality she was boarded at our veterinarian. Getting spayed was an added bonus for Lucky!! During my lunch hour on Monday, I went to get her. Ok, for the rest of this story I want you to mentally paint a picture in your mind. As I waited to get Lucky, I couldn't help but notice the lady in front of me who was also picking up her dog. She was sporting a nice, I mean NICE, diamond ring, among other jewelery, and I felt sure that she was the one driving the brand new sparkling white, suped up, Yukon in the parking lot. Not sure, but just a guess. She wrote her check and then the vet. assistant brought her dog out and the lady was very happy to see her dog, for I guess she had been away on vacation as I had been. Instead of taking the dog, the lady whippped around headed right out the door and the little assistant followed her to her car and deposited the dog right into her Yukon. The office must have started escorting your animals to the car for you! How nice! Now it's my turn. I paid and waited to see Lucky. The assistant brought me Lucky and before I knew it Lucky was in my arms, front legs on my shoulders, giving me lots and lots of loving!! So much for my "escort to the car"!! I literally felt like the little guy had thrusted Lucky to me while standing one foot inside one foot outside the door when just minutes earlier this lady's dog had been brought out for her to ooh and ahh over for a split second and then carried to her vehicle. How RUDE, as Stephanie would say on Full House (my girlies LOVE watching Full House). Now maybe this lady demanded this kind of care, maybe I looked like the type of person who didn't mind doggy hugs and slober, etc., but whatever the case it sure looked like down right social discrimination! I have thought of this several times since and wondered about the expression on my face and how humorous this incident really was. Anyway, that's life, isn't it??

Isn't she a cutie??

Happy 90th Birthday G-momma!

Saturday, we celebrated Grandmother (G-momma) Wood's 90th birthday at MeMe and Pop's house. We ate a wonderful meal and shared the evening together. Josh had to work so he couldn't be there. We sure missed him! I think G-momma had a nice time seeing everyone together and watching the little ones run around the kitchen.

We love you G-momma!!!!!

The Hole That Uncle Dave Dug

For the kids as well as his amusement, Dave dug a hole at the beach. (Court referred to this on her blog) It was expecially admired by John Brady and Lawson.

MeMe, these aren't mine!

MeMe sent a bag of things we left at the beach and inside was these flip-flops that I am sure she thought were Emma's. The flip flops were actually Aunt CiCi's!!! Ha! And the funny thing---the flip flops fit Emma! Brady told Emma she should keep them since they were her size. I said she should keep them because they're Reef flip flops! LOL

Aunt CiCi, we will bring them to you on Saturday. That is, if we can remember. ;)

A guy was flying a kite behind us and as soon as John Brady spotted it, he walked straight over to him! The guy was so nice to let John Brady assist! My little man never meets a stranger!
