Boy, my kids were FIRED UP this morning! I have to tell about one of the breakfast table discussions. Emma, Abby, and John Brady were at the table eating breakfast and somehow they got around to talking about the devil. Brady was in the kitchen and I was in my bathroom (caring for my "wounds"), but could hear their conversation. Emma asked Brady if there really is a devil. Not sure where this came from! I then hear Brady say you will have to ask your mother about that, and I think ok so here we go playing the good old pass it off game! Emma, followed by Abby, came to my door and asked me. I said I didn't know but Daddy was sooooo much smarter than Mommy and he was sure to know! So Emma went back to Brady and said Daddy you are smarter than Mommy so you must know if there really is a devil. Brady wasn't ready to answer that question, especially at 6:30 a.m., so he somehow diverted them. I was still in the bathroom when John Brady runs in and to say "weally a debil?"

A little Christmas cheer
I really enjoy decorating for Christmas, but haven't been able to get out the first decoration because of my surgery. So tonight since MeMe was at the house to help and she cooked an awesome dinner and I felt well enough, I got out little Christmas trees for the girls and John Brady to decorate and put in their rooms. The kids LOVED their trees and it filled me with some Christmas cheer which I so needed.
I went for my post-op appointment today and my nose is healing very well. My doctor removed the splints from inside my nose and replaced the bandage on top of my nose. At least now my nose isn't so stuffy and I can smell--yea!!! My nose is still extremely sore and I have to be very careful around the kids. It seems my nose is now a magnet! My throat has been the most painful thing about the surgery and it still hurts like hell!! I just keep telling myself that it will get a little better each day.

A blurry Thanksgiving and Cwithmuths twees??
Hello everyone! I have been missing from the blog-scene, but for good reason. I had a tonsillectomy and a septo-rhinoplasty on Tuesday before Thanksgiving! Since the day I scheduled it, I was determined to make Thanksgiving lunch and dinner with my family and I did. I was there......more in body than mind! HA! But I made it. Today has really been the only day I have felt like doing anything so I am trying to "catch up" a little without overdoing it.
Since I was unable to give thanks on Thanksgiving....................................
Grandparents--thanks for taking care of the kiddos! Brady--thanks for taking care of me! My mom gets an extra thanks---she took care of the laundry and kept the kids for us again!!!!
The kids went to the Christmas tree farm with MeMe and Pops on Saturday. When they got back, John Brady came into my room where I was resting and told me he had been to the "Cwithmuths twee fowest". (try to say that 10 times in a row)

Big Mama!!
Here lately John Brady wants me to carry him into daycare every morning. This morning I kind of grunted as I lifted him to my hip. John Brady said, "You too heavy mama?"

Granny Lawson's Birthday
Hope this makes your boo-boo better, Marty!
I had the pleasure of taking Lily Grace's 6 month pictures on Saturday. Marty helped me move this giant mirror to the backdrop and just as we were putting it down, a chunk broke off cutting Marty's hand!! OUCH!! He said he was fine and just needed a paper towel for the blood. Eeeeek! I got the handy dandy first aid kit, cleaned his wound, and put a "boo-boo aid" (this is what my kids call a band-aid). After the wound clean up, it was on with the shoot!! I got some really great shots of Lily Grace, so maybe Marty won't hold it against me. LOL. Thanks Marty and Peyton for letting me photograph your precious little one!Friday, November 9, 2007
Brady flies SOLO!!
For the very first time, Brady kept the kids overnight by himself!! Last Thursday evening I left for a conference in Atlanta and Brady stayed with the kids all by himself. It's not that we have been avoiding an opportunity such as this.....ok, maybe I have been. It's just I know how difficult can be (Brady goes on several trips a year), especially the evening time when you have to get John Brady, drive to Huntington Place Elem., get the girls, get back home, cook, get them fed, get baths, wash hair, dry hair, do homework/read books, and get them to bed. And, of course, there is a lot that happens in between. Then comes morning with breakfast, getting dressed, and getting the girls to school and John Brady to daycare and then on to work!!! Brady handled it all wonderfully! He even cooked a big dinner on Friday evening and he and the kids delivered a couple of plates to Nanny and Papa at the hospital. WOW!
I only stayed one night and I arrived back at home Friday night around 9:30, but I felt like it was forever. I was tickled to walk into their bedrooms and kiss their little cheeks while they slept. Watch out, Brady, I've tested the water and I'm thinking about an annual "girls" beach trip or shopping trip.

It's A Bird, It's A Plane, It's................................
It's a trundle bed that I had to look high and low to find and then wait 7 weeks on it to be delivered! Next task: order the bedding!
