Out with old, in with the new

Almost 2 weeks ago we got hardwood floor put down (not sure why our 3 year old house wasn't built with it). The kids had a really great time helping Brady, MeMe, and Pops remove the carpet, tack strips, and the tile. When I got home with John Brady, he looked around for a second and ran to his room. He came back with his own tool from his Elmo workbench telling everyone "I help". It was too cute! Emma and Abby helped us out so much! Brady, MeMe, Pops, and I were so proud of them! The next day the kids thought they should christen the new floor with "snow angels"!

Thanks MeMe and Pops for all of your help!!! It would have been extremely difficult without you and wouldn't have been near the fun!

Fascination with musical instruments

John Brady loves musical instruments. His favorites are drums, guitar, maracas (racas), trumpet, and the piano (pinano). Like the "home-made drum and drum stick"??
He called these his "racas".

Breakfast with Santa

Saturday we had breakfast with Santa at Applebees. It was a fundraiser for the Huntington Place 5th grade Washington trip. The kids really enjoyed it. Abby was a little skidish about sitting with Santa but you can't tell it by the picture!! Couldn't get John Brady to smile nor could we get Emma to look in the right direction! Oh, well!

Pretty piggies aren't just for girls

Ok, I have to blog about this since Brady is out of town and I haven't told him about it. Hence, he hasn't banned me from telling this story!! Brady was out of town last night for work so I braved taking the kids by myself to Northport Diner. We were sitting at our booth when John Brady started removing his Crocs. This lead to removing his socks and placing them on his hands and waving to others as they tried to enjoy their dinner. As I was trying to get his shoes and socks back on him, I looked at his toes to find that his toe nails had been painted a very pretty shade of pink!! Maybe Brady will be in a forgiving mood when he reads the blog! Not sure who he will be more diappointed in, John Brady or me! LOL

Lawson Kids Unleashed

I shot this last night when my kids were so tired they were dangerous! I am sure most of you know what I mean. This was their attempt to keep themselves awake.

Uncle Josh, thought this video would tickle you!!!! Isn't this funny?

As I sit down to blog tonight, I am nibbling on one of those Old Fashioned Cream Drops which remind me so much of my grandpa Hocutt. The best part about it tonight is that my three children are standing around me enjoying the candy with me!
Since I was booked with appointments on Saturday, Brady decided to take the kids to the children's parade in Demopolis. The kids get special "Daddy-time" when I have studio appointments. I think it's good for them to spend quality time together, and I was proud when Brady told me about his idea. Brady invited MeMe and it was done deal.
