If it comes to mind.............it comes out the mouth
It is so true that old people become like children again. You know how children say whatever they feel like saying. You could use that excuse with my granny, however, she's always taken pride in her freedom of speech for as long as I can remember! Monday she had a surgical procedure to put in another dialysis port so before the nurse took her back, my aunt Dean told my Granny she must take off her necklace. Granny hesitated, but finally allowed Dean to take it. It was the cross necklace I had given her for Christmas. Granny told my aunt, "You better not get too used to it!" Oh, my! How funny is that!!

A colorful house by my little artist
John Brady spent the night with Allie a couple of weeks ago. Christy took them to Sips and Strokes the next morning for a children's painting class where they got to paint "a colorful house". The little artists had a wonderful time and created masterpieces we will always cherish! Thanks for taking them, Christy!!

A grand time with grandpa
He's like a kid himself. No wonder my children LOVE playing with my dad. He tells them ghost stories, plays monster with them (just recently he made a mask out of a paper sack and was the "grocery bag monster"), hunts armadillos with them(their favorite!), and pretty much let's them have full reign over the house, the yard, and the barn!
Dad, hope your birthday was GRAND! And mom, we will have to let the "kids" play together again real soon! Hee! Hee!

Daddy did BIG!
Brady took John Brady last week to a UA basketball game so this week he took Emma. She had a great time! As with a lot of games, they were throwing t-shirts. Emma has always gotten excited about ANYTHING thrown into the crowd. It could be a rotten apple and she would be thrilled. Brady was able to catch a shirt for her and then sent this pic. Look at that grin!!

Remembering Michelle on her birthday
Today Michelle would have turned 36 years old. Please keep Jamey, Brenna, the Lowery family, and the Feltman family in your thoughts and prayers. This will be a tough "first" for them. A tough "first" for all of her friends, as well. Although terribly sad that one of my best friends isn't here to open any gifts or spend time celebrating with family and friends, I know she is wearing her party hat in Heaven!
Michelle, today is a perfect day for me to celebrate your life and the many things I will always love and cherish about you! From being an amazing mother and a wonderful wife to your love of life to your decorating expertise, and EVERYTHING in between, you are unforgettable! My dear, forever friend!!
