Last night coming home from the park, John Brady said his friend at school called him B  U  T.  Brady said what did you do to your friend that caused him to call you that.  He said I just twisted his arm a teensy, weensy bit.  So when we got home John Brady made a sign for his friend.  (btw COZ = calls)

I never win anything, but last month I won a room make over as well as a personal make over with Trish and Elisabeth at Trisha Conyers Interior Design!!  They basically remodeled my home studio space (formerly a dining room) into a beautiful home office.  All of the stuff you see in the before picture is all of the things we moved from our upstairs play/office/storage room.  It had to be cleaned out so that we could make Emma a room of her own Emma.  Once I got all of the things downstairs into my old studio space, I had to figure out something to do with it.

Trish and Elisabeth created a great home office area for us.  Now we have a place for computer work and some storage space.  They were able to get the room done in a week!  Trish and Elisabeth were fabulous to work with.  For the personal make over we spent part of a day shopping for clothes, shoes, and accessories.  It was such a treat!  Prior to the photo shoot, a make up artist came to my house to get me all glam.  My house soon filled up with a make up artist, two photographers, Trish, Elisabeth, and a writer from the magazine.  We started around 11:30 that day and finished up around 3:30.  A lot of work goes into the making of a magazine article!  I had a blast working with Trish and Elisabeth and everyone else, and of course, it felt great to get a little pampering!  :)

a night like many at the Lawsons

In honor of National Pound Cake Day...........................

we made pound cake pops!! It was a fun, easy, and yummy activity for the kids.  I baked two loaves of pound cake the day before.  I cut the cake into layers, and then I used a round cookie cutter to make the pops.  I laid out the wax paper, the pops, lollipop sticks, melted white chocolate, crushed cereal, and sprinkles and let the kids get busy!

We found Mr. Sawtooth Shark swimming above us at Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies during our spring break trip.
